Cal. 36. S# 11978. Bbl 7 1/2" round with German silver blade front sight. Bbl has New York address. Round 6 shot cylinder with Texas Navy Scene roll engraving. Blue & case colored finish with silver finished brass trigger guard & back strap. 1 piece walnut grip. Butt of gun is engraved with unit marking "3D N. H." Bbl, frame, grip straps & cylinder have matching numbers, wedge has a mismatched number. Mfg. 1863. CONDITION: metal has faded to heavy mottled brown showing scattered pitting. Cylinder retains over 80% visible naval scene. Grip straps have over 30% nickel with a mild uncleaned tarnish. Grips show handling marks with wear & chips around the butt. Tight properly functioning action. Lightly pitted bore shows scattered light pitting. (01-29357/DS). ANTIQUE. $1,800-2,500.
